October is an exciting month for NMAAM, filled with pumpkin flavors and sweaters! It's also the launch of our Emerging Artists Series. There was a time when Jefferson Street was the place that nurtured the talent of great musicians like Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, Etta James and others who made R&B, Jazz and Rock-n-Roll famous here. Many cut their teeth by playing at clubs, emerging to perfect their talent and become legendary. That same determination is experienced through artists who are emerging e today. Join us Tuesday, October 20th from 2pm-4pm at the Metro Nashville Airport for our next installation in our Emerging Artist Series and hear the soulful sounds of Jason Eskridge.

Want to experience more through our Emerging Artist Series? A monthly gift of $100 gift to NMAAM provides more of these type events.GIVE TODAY and commit to a regular gift through our Annual Fund.

A True Turnaround Strategy

This year has been a pivotal year for NMAAM! To start it off, we announced our fundraising initiative, the Baron Society, had surpassed the $1 million milestone, followed by Mayor Karl Dean's announcement of the future home of NMAAM at 5th & Broadway, a part of the redevelopment of the Nashville Convention Center. None of this would have been possible without the fortitude and energy of a dedicated group of people who kept NMAAM alive. "New life. New Board. New Leadership. This is what turned NMAAM around," said Jerry Maynard, II. Click here to read more about the series of wins that lead NMAAM to a new home.
