Here's Another Way to Wear Persper-eez

We’ve heard from a couple of women that they are attaching the pads directly to their bra, laying the bra down on a flat surface and attaching the pads to the bottom edge of the bra, then putting it on. Let us know if you’ve tried it too. info@persper-eez.com.

Beautiful Skin / Beautiful You

Who doesn’t want to look younger, the older we get? Yet as we age, our bodies don’t produce new cells as quickly so our skin becomes less elastic, drier, more wrinkled. There are products to shape our bodies, color our hair, and hide our less-than-stellar issues. But aging is a privilege that many don’t get to experience. Rather than focusing on looking younger, let’s focus on looking (and being) healthy. Let’s celebrate the beauty we’ve earned throughout our life, the honesty of our wrinkles, and the lines that reveal how much we’ve laughed.

“We have lived beautiful and unique lives, and we should be proud of how we look, smile lines and all.” Margaret Manning

Here are steps to take care of our largest organ – our skin.

Steps for Healthy Skin (especially for those over 50)

Cleansing – take a few moments every night to wash and moisturize your face before bed. Dry skin makes us look older and tired. Use natural products (herbs, olive and coconut oil, etc.) whenever possible.

Protecting – as we all know, exposure to the sun can create wrinkles and dark spots so be sure to use sunscreen whenever you’re going to be outdoors (including road trips in the car). Don’t forget to protect your lips as well.

Hydrating – good for our skin and the rest of our bodies, hydration keeps everything looking, feeling, and working great.

Healthy Choices – you’ve no doubt noticed that people who smoke have far more wrinkles than those who don’t. It’s never too late to quit and reap the benefits.

Surprising (and tasty) Food for Healthy Skin

Red Bell Peppers are loaded with vitamin C and carotenoids which can help reduce wrinkles and encourage blood circulation.

Dark Chocolate (at least 70% cocoa content) is rich in antioxidants and flavanols (plant substances), satisfies that chocolate urge, and promotes glowing skin. It also increases blood circulation and relaxes arteries. Anything less than 70% cocoa may taste great but has no nutritional value.

Spinach has natural, nutrient-rich ingredients (such as iron, folate, and magnesium), and is great for salads, in smoothies, and in cooking.

Coconut Oil one of the richest sources of saturated fat which is good for your skin; the essential fatty acids and vitamin E help keep skin soft and smooth. Coconut oil can be used as a makeup remover, in cooking, and as face and body cream.

Papaya, while low in calories, is great for digestion, and its vitamins C and E are great for skin.

Carrots are high in beta carotene which converts to vitamin A, keeping skin free of dead cells and clogged pores.

Taking steps to care for our skin as we age will help us look and feel our best. Drink plenty of water, get some level of daily exercise and plenty of sleep, and choose foods that provide the vitamins and minerals your body needs for top performance at home, work, and play. And be sure to get annual check-ups with your health care professional to be on the lookout for skin cancer.

Age is just a number. How you look and feel is what really counts, so be your best you in every way.
