Children's Ministry

Collide Kids Online - Part of being a Disciple of Jesus is making more disciples! We multiply the family of God! It is every believer's responsibility to be sharers of the good news of Jesus, to show others how to live like Jesus, and to invite them to do the same.

Grab your kid(s) and spend 25 minutes together singing, dancing, laughing, and learning! We would love for you to also have your child(ren) memorize this week's scripture verse and motions and upload a video of them in the comment section under the video on the CLC Facebook page! Have a great week, Collide Kids!

Youth Group

The plan is to resume meetings in the spring - after Easter - when the weather is better and we can spend some time outside.

Prayer

For whom are you praying today? How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"I pray you are all staying warm. We all seemed to get a taste of the winter temps along with snow and ice this time around. Spring is just around the corner. God is still good all the time! His mercies are new every morning. We can stand on His Word."

"My word for this week is “DIFFERENT.” We are all “different” but the same kind of “different” as everyone else. We have all experienced happiness and pain, and all have reacted or dealt with it in our own way. But we are all the same kind of “different.” Holy Spirit, continue to let us see through eyes of love and compassion so we can see that we are all the same kind of “different." God loves us so much, in all our “different!” We all have been given “different” gifts to help each other. Let us use those “different” gifts to reach out to our family and friends that may be struggling. Let us make a difference! Let us set aside being “different” and realize we are all the same kind of “different.” Let us be God’s extension, every day. God has so much more for each of us. The potential is endless. I challenge each of us to see how “different” we can be this week!"

Each one of us has a body with many parts, and these parts all have different uses. In the same way, we are many, but in Christ we are all one body. Each one is a part of that body, and each part belongs to all the other parts. We all have different gifts, each of which came because of the grace God gave us. The person who has the gift of prophecy should use that gift in agreement with the faith. Anyone who has the gift of serving should serve. Anyone who has the gift of teaching should teach. Whoever has the gift of encouraging others should encourage. Whoever has the gift of giving to others should give freely. Anyone who has the gift of being a leader should try hard when he leads. Whoever has the gift of showing mercy to others should do so with joy. ~ Romans 12:4-8 (NCV)

News of the Week

We wrapped up last week by celebrating Tori's birthday and taking some time to play cornhole. Definitely a fun day! Check out Tori's new stuffed cat...made by our very own Brista. Isn't she talented?!?!

This week is a short week. We were off Monday for Presidents Day and then had a snow day on Tuesday. Wednesday we did some tasks inside the building and then turned to crafting to help us think warm thoughts of spring. We had fun exercising our creativity by making shamrocks, bunnies, and flowers to replace our Valentine decorations. We don't know about you, but we're absolutely ready for some warmer weather! Today we will be crafting more and planting leeks. We are excited about digging into some soil!

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
