Participants will be able to take some home and Goodness Grows will use the rest for fundraising again. ($5 per jar.) YOU are enthusiastically invited to join in anytime throughout the day to help! There will be a volunteer list to sign in on so that we can be sure you get your free jar, one per family. | How Can You Help With Apple Butter Day? If you would like to donate supplies, we can use any variety of clean apples. We'll end up going through at least 5 bushels. As of now, we know we have 3-4 bushels coming. We also are in need of the standard canning jar rings and lids. We can use either the one piece lids or the lid/ring combo. Please drop all donations off on the GG table in the Great Room by THIS Wednesday. Thank you! If you would like to volunteer, you will be most welcome! We will need kitchen helpers NEXT Thursday, October 20 & Friday, October 21, between 9:30am-2pm. (Our crew stops for lunch from 11:30am-12pm.) We will be peeling and cutting apples both days and making applesauce on Friday. Last year, they came from Sparkle (Columbiana & East Palestine). With at least doubling, maybe tripling the number of food boxes, any we can collect would help! If you have any of these boxes to donate, or if you would be willing to stop into or call other grocery stores and ask for them, that would be greatly appreciated.
