| Lions Weekly: February 22, 2023 | A Note From Mr. Sandefur Lion Family, I am writing from Snowshoe with our senior class. It has been such a joy to get to spend time with each student on this trip as their time at The Academy comes to a close and they prepare for the next place God has for them. Please join with me in praying for the class of 2023 as they near graduation. Along those lines, our 8th-graders left today for a trip to Ohio to visit the Ark Encounter, the Armstrong Museum, the Daft family farms, and the Wright-Patterson National Air Force Base Museum. We are thankful for these many opportunities for our students as they learn both inside and outside of the classrooms. I am looking forward, with great expectation, to our Love Gala this Saturday evening. The Love Gala is a night where we have the blessing of honoring those who have made a significant impact on TKA, our current teachers of the year, and raising much-needed funds to support our mission of developing servant leaders that will change the world for Christ. We are truly grateful for our partnerships and support that is so faithfully provided. Jeremy Sandefur President/Head of School | 2023 Love Gala The Love Gala is just a few days away! All visitors for elementary must enter the front door of the Ogle Building in order to receive a visitor's pass. This pass should be visible at all times so that TKA faculty and staff know that you have checked in at the office. Our doors are open to visitors, but please call ahead of time to schedule conferences with your child’s teachers. This will prevent interruptions to instruction and the loss of the valuable learning time of our students. Adults will not be allowed to wander the halls of the building or hold conferences with teachers during instructional times. TKA family lunch visitors should follow the above procedure. Lunch tickets are $5 each. Students who are not enrolled at TKA are not permitted to visit TKA students during the school day, which includes lunch. This policy has been developed in order to help maintain a safe and instruction focused environment at school each day. Any visitor who does not meet these expectations may be asked to leave school grounds. | | |
