BILL'S 2ND HOUR OF DEBATE STILL TO COME...
Cassie and Molly's Law was scheduled to see its second hour of debate in the House of Commons yesterday, October 5th. However, the debate was cancelled due to an extraordinary number of votes & will take place within the next 10 sitting days. This means we will still see C-225 debated this month.
Stay tuned as we will let you know as soon as the new date is announced.

When speaking to your MP, be sure to explain that Bill C-225 is important because:
▪ It fills a gap in current Canadian law,
▪ It protects Canadian women, their children & families,
▪ It ensures that justice is served when a woman's choice to carry her child to term is taken away if her child is killed or injured during the commission of a crime against her. (This legislation therefore does not affect abortion rights).
