Meals on Wheels

We are always looking for volunteers to serve as substitute drivers when one of our regular drivers is unable to drive. It is a simple way to help those in our community who are unable to shop and prepare food for themselves.

If you are interested in helping out, please email Laura Sorensen at laurasorensen@comcast.net. Thank you for your help!

Our Very Own...

WGN's Chicago's Very Own segment, recently showcased Kenneth Purnell, founder of Souper Heroes, and our very own special Advent Candlelight speaker from last December.

The concept of Souper Hereos, which serves 5-gallons of hot, volunteered-cooked soup to over 50 homeless individuals each night at Chicago train stations, is based on Ken's mission help his fellow Chicagoans facing hunger and housing insecurity after he too, faced similar challenges.
