All ages and abilities welcome. | Garden News No Garden this week as we celebrate Communion. Kids Worship Pages and colored pencils will be available on the table beside the doors to the sanctuary. Next Sunday is our last class before summer break. | Outreach Potluck Luncheon ~ "Springing Into Summer" After Worship this Sunday Potluck lunch with an ice cream sundae bar! Bring your favorite good weather dish to share. Hot dogs will be provided to help set the mood for spring and summer grilling adventures. | Youth Group News We hope our youth had a good time last Sunday celebrating their moms, grandmothers, and all the other important women in their lives! This Sunday is our final Youth Group evening before summer break. We will be going on a field trip to hide the rocks that we painted at our last meeting. We ask that all the kids bring money for a snack, as we will be stopping at one of our local eateries to enjoy a treat together. We will still meet at our normal time - 6:00pm - in the Activity Room. Keep an eye out for summer plans, including our usual trip to the Snyder's for some pool time fun! | Bible Studies Sunday Morning: Pat Shannon leads a class on the book of Matthew; 9:30 - 10:30am. Wednesday Morning: Ladies Study - Dwelling in God's Peace from the Jesus Calling Bible Study Series by Sarah Young; 9am. Friday Evening: Bible Study at the Shannon's house; 6pm. You are welcome to join in a study at any time! | Summer Happenings Keep watch here for soon-to-come summer information. While the Garden and Youth Group will both be taking a hiatus, we'll have some kid-centric events that will take advantage of the long, lazy days of summer. The Outreach Committee will certainly offer some summer fun. Goodness Grows will have plenty going on, which you are always invited to take part in. Plus, our favorite summer event - VBS - will take center stage in July! | Welcome to Our 1st Summer Intern! | It is the time of year again when Goodness Grows expands, hiring new folks and welcoming back old friends. We are beyond excited to announce that our first summer intern started this week. She is from the Common Ground family, grew up on our property and now...she is working here! Goodness Grows welcomes Kelly Shannon to our team! She jumped right in this week, making Jungle Jam, (No, she won't share the secret recipe with you!) cooking lunch, building garden beds, weeding, going to camp, and more. Glad to have you on board, Kelly! | Spring Plant & Flower Sale | Thank you to everyone who helped with our spring fundraiser. Whether you toted ferns, helped with set up somewhere, worked a sale table, came to shop, or spread the word to others...you are appreciated! We still have a nice variety of hanging baskets left. Just let us know if you would like to purchase some to brighten your porch or patio. Flowers make great teacher gifts! | Special Needs Classes We had a great last day with Crestview that included a special lunch of pizza and cupcakes. We appreciate all their hard work and look forward to seeing them again when it is time to harvest! Next Friday, May 24th, we will say good-bye to the Transition class. We will definitely miss their big smiles and helping hands! No classes are here with us this week, as the kids are enjoying some time at Camp Frederick. Meals are $9 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and under, eat in or carry out. Proceeds will be used to further the ministries of Calvary and the surrounding communities. | Pop-up Library Visit Visit the mobile library van right here in North Lima on May 21st!
