Spirit Day

Our students took part in Spirit Day yesterday. The students worked in mixed groups completing STEM challenges, coding tasks and other engaging activities. The afternoon then was a mix of tabloid sports; the students enjoyed tunnel ball, an obstacle course, played fruit salad and rob the nest and had sprinting races on the oval. Thankfully the sun came out for the afternoon!

Student feedback on Spirit Day:
It was fun! I got to work with new teachers and my favourite part was making ice cream. Leo 1/2C

I liked it because we got to meet new people and teachers. My favourite activity was when we got to make the things that dropped down from space. Lily 1/2C

I enjoyed Spirit Day because we got to do a lot of fun stuff, like the stickman character. We got to do an art activity and tabloid sports. Andy 1/2P

I liked Spirit Day because we got to do lots of fun activities and I got to sit next to my best friend and work with her. I also liked sports. Addison 1/2P

I liked Spirit Day because we got to do lots of fun stuff like building a mars rover and I got to learn how to draw. I really liked the sport as well. Spencer 1/2P

Camp Review

Both camps were a hit! Despite the rainy weather, the students completed the activities with big smiles and lots of resilience and enthusiasm. A big thank you to our staff and volunteers for all their hard work on both camps!

Some highlights from our Gr 3/4 students:
Otis - I loved going yabbying. We caught some big ones and named them!
Max - Camp was great! I liked all the activities. Yabbying was the best.
Grace - We got to pat llamas and sheep. I loved spending time with my friends in the cabin.

Surfing was a big hit on our Grade 5/6 camp. Other highlights included:
Honey - I really enjoyed the crate stacking. We were all working as a team. Everyone helped each other. We also enjoyed the food.
Lulu - I enjoyed surfing because I learnt new skills. I was able to stand up for more than 1 minute.
Daniel - I liked the orienteering because we used walkie talkies. It was fun exploring the camp.
Sonny - I liked surfing. It was much easier than it looked!
