Ascension

In this week's gospel the risen Christ ascends into heaven and his followers are assured that the Spirit will empower them to be witnesses throughout the earth. The disciples were told to not gaze up into heaven to look for Jesus; we find his presence among us as we proclaim the word and share the Easter feast. We too long for the Spirit to enliven our faith and invigorate our mission.

June 8, 2019

Join our team, the More Than Pink Warriors!
We walk for those who can’t. We fundraise to save lives and prevent the next generation from suffering. We come together as survivors of breast cancer, co-survivors and those living with breast cancer so that in the future, we never have to walk again. The directors have chosen to make this event a Walk this year instead of a Run to foster community. More than Pink begins on Willow Island and is a one or two mile course with events to celebrate survivors. If you are interested in participating, please speak to D’neece Hettrick or Jan Hagen.
