Dr Alex Yashina is a medical doctor who values natural ways of maintaining health and happiness. For many years she has been helping individuals achieve the best version of themselves through Yoga and Aerial Yoga, breathing techniques, mindful bodywork, osteopathy and rehabilitation.

Rola

Rula Wardeh landed on her mat as a Yoga practitioner in 2006. Now a certified Hatha Yoga teacher from Yoga Tree-Toronton, Rula specialises in Yin Yoga philosophy and practice and integrates sound healing in all of her classes. Rula is also one of the founding members of the Yoga Mandala Project, which provides psycho-social support in communities affected by trauma and displacement. As part of the team at Al Marji’ Publications, she writes in both Family Flavours and Nakahat ‘Ailiyeh and engages at the magazines’ annual wellness retreats, in partnership with One with Nature Fitness Center.

Gritty

Gretty Al ‘Ayed Yacoubian is a fitness instructor best known for her energetic and uplifting workouts for people of all ages. Her motto is «you›re never fully dressed without a smile!» Her positive energy is contagious. Gretty, who is half Jordanian, half Swiss, speaks three languages and has lived and studied in seven countries. In addition to her fitness certification, she studied art. A former contributor to Family Flavours and Nakahat ‹Ailiyeh magazines, she now focuses her outreach on organising and engaging in fitness events across Jordan.

Zina

Zina Shami began her Pilates journey in 2003 in Canada, and became certified in 2005. She undertook further training in Germany, Spain and Italy. Her desire to learn more led to the discovery of Classical Pilates in Italy in 2017, where she has been bridging her Pilates Certification from Contemporary to Classical. Zina holds a masters in Athletic Therapy from Canada and has trained professionally in Dance and Martial Arts, achieving a black belt in Shotokan Karate. Zina has an infectious smile and boundless energy but don›t let the smile fool you; she›s strict and disciplined.

Maha

Maha Hourani is a certified Pilates instructor with a background in physical rehabilitation and sports injuries. She specialises in Reformer, Tower, MOTR, Cadillac as well as Combo Chair Pilates. She holds certification as well in Energy Healing, TRX, the Art of Contrology, Cardiolates and Mat Pilates. A graduate in Physical Education, Maha is devoted to keeping her clients motivated and up to date with the latest work-outs and programmes.

Ghadeer

Ghadeer Habash is multitalented in fashion design, marketing and coaching. She says that a degree of stress is normal and healthy. But too much stress can cause loss of sleep, irritability, backache, headaches and even life-threatening diseases, such as high blood pressure and heart disease. This Internationally Certified Career Trainer writes in both Family Flavours and Nakahat ‘Ailiyeh magazines and has engaged over the years in training the magazine’s clients. Topics this marketeer has focused on include training in different soft skills including time and stress management, working from home and more. She will be showing us how to destress during this retreat!

zoraya

Zoraya Bernal is a registered nurse and a certified holistic nutritionist trained in Canada, with over 10 years’ experience in the wellness and medical fields. She specialises in women’s health with a focus on hormonal balance and digestion. Zoraya is passionate about holistic wellness and integrates western and eastern medical philosophies in her nutrition programmes. She believes that every person has unique needs and a capacity to heal from within when given the proper tools.

Zein

Zein Salti, founder of Zenergie, is an avid explorer of medicinal plants and the magical healing powers they offer. Her passion for
enriching the lives of those around her led Zein to take Zenergie from idea to reality. Participants in this retreat will have the chance to sample her organic superfood-filled cold pressed juices, smoothies and more. Zein is also a passionate hiker and says that she learns new lessons from every mountain she hikes. Her motto? “Do what makes you shine!”
