stress of not knowing

It's stressful when you don't know what to do

One of the biggest sources of stress in our life is knowing what we need to do but not knowing how to do it. Fortunately, we are all adults managing our lives with relative success, but when it comes to knitting, there are things, large and small that can derail the mindful mojo that knitting typically brings. Whether it's the panic of having some or all of your stitches fall off the needle, the fear of putting your sweater pieces together, or the overall anxiety that your finished garment will fit and look as beautiful as you imagined.

Any of this sound familiar? I get it. I hear it in the shop all the time. There are even knitters who continue reading

Hollyhock worn long

Our February First Friday project is Hollyhock, a beautiful spring infinity scarf using three different coordinating yarns. Hollyhock designer Louisa Harding is famous for her romantic sweaters and accessories that bring to mind and English garden. Hollyhock is romantic and fresh, so even though it's still cold, you'll feel like springtime!

We have Hollyhock kits in three different colorways, but you'll have to hurry because there are only a few kits left!

Hollyhock requires one set each US size 9 and 10 circular needles 24" or 32"

Lavandin pullover

Once you see the Lavandin pullover, you're going to want to knit it, so join Ginni for a brand new knitalong Tuesday afternoons. We'll help you choose the right size, swatch the pattern, and get going on this perfect spring sweater.

Corsica is a gorgeous yarn with a soft hand (uh yeah, cotton and cashmere) and great stitch definition. Get started with us because this is exactly what you need for spring!

Kick off Tuesday, February 16
2-4 p.m.
Bring US size 4 and 5 needles

Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Crazy for Ewe Retreat April 15-17!

The highlight of the retreat is a visit to TSC Fine Yarns and a chance to meet Stacy Charles himself, the creative and business force behind the company that brings you Tahki, Filatura di Crosa, and Collezione Stacy Charles yarns. He's going to share with us the gorgeous model garments and give us a peek at the Fall 2016 line!

We'll be staying across the river in beautiful Mt. Holly, a lovely historic town with lots to see and do. In addition to its galleries and antique shops, Mt. Holly offers you a bakery, a yarn shop, and a quilt store. Really, what more could you ask for!

We have a fun-filled weekend planned for you - details will follow, but start planning because this is gonna be the best retreat yet!
