College Application Workshop at Westchester Country Day School

As the graduates turn their tassels, it’s time for the rising seniors to start thinking about college applications.

Westchester Country Day School’s College Application Workshop on June 12-15 will help your rising high school senior gain insight and a head start toward success in the admissions process. Raegan Atkinson, director of college guidance at WCDS, will provide tips on researching schools, writing essays, applying for scholarships, and more.

The 2nd Annual CHS Sunshine 5k & Family Festival

The 2nd Annual CHS Sunshine 5k & Family Festival on June 10 is a family-friendly benefit event to raise awareness and help support families across the state with the resources they need to be a forever family.

This festival will provide a fun-filled morning for the whole community! Festivities will include a 5K Walk/Run, Two Kids’ 100-Yard Dashes, Music, Food Trucks, and Special Performers. 5k Starts at 8am at Country Park, Greensboro.

WePLAY Movies in the Park

WePLAY Movies in the Park is back! On the third Saturday in June, July, and August there will be a movie shown in a different Winston-Salem park with a bonus movie on August 9 for Movies in the Pool at Bolton Park Pool. This summer, Soul, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Shrek, and Lilo & Stitch will be played. Pre-movie activities start at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk.

FREE Crafts at the High Point Museum!

The High Point Museum hosts FREE crafts in the Little Red Schoolhouse the last Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In June, make a tissue paper popsicle and get an actual popsicle to enjoy with it.
In July, come make some edible playdough.
And in August, come make some beautiful sand jars to enjoy on tables!
