Newly announced event! Denis Theriault - The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman 1st December

postman

The only London event for French Canadian author Denis Theriault takes place on Monday 1st December at 7.30pm.

Straight after his appearance on the Simon Mayo show Denis will be at Dulwich Books to chat about his amazing novel The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman.

Tickets are £10 and include a copy of the book, 2 beers from Gipsy Hill Brewing Company + a 20% discount voucher to spend in the bookshop (voucher is only available for collection at the event).

Dave says of this book ‘The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman is a strange yet wonderful tale of obsession reminiscent of Haruki Murakami and Jean Giono that sucks you into the melancholy and monotonous world of Bilodo, a postman with a questionable hobby.

We urge you to join us to hear an interesting emerging voice in literary fiction at his only London event. You can book online now, or pop into the shop or call 0208 670 1920.

Thank you also Laura Dockrill who was our guest storyteller on Books Are My Bag day in October, and to Samira Hepburn, Margaret Bateson-Hill, Neill Cameron and Mik Brown who inspired many of our budding young authors and illustrators during our recent Dulwich Literary Festival.

Storytime will be back in January and we’re already planning some exciting guest storytellers for 2015, so watch this space!
