Welcome to the first issue of Palm Beach Thyroid and Endocrinology Wellness' monthly newsletter! Each month we will bring you news and events from within our office, as well as health tips that we hope to inspire you with.

I'd like to thank all of our patients who put their trust into our practice. Your loyalty and patience as we grow has been heartwarming. Every day the practice grows and it's because of you, my incredible patients.

We have opened our expanded office which is now over 6,000 sqft. In addition, we now have a full service state of the art laboratory which will provide faster and more accurate laboratory results.

Allow me to introduce you to our management team. This group of four will help you with any questions or concerns that may arise, and I am confident in their ability to do so. You will continue to see new faces in our office as we grow to better serve you and I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.

tips
Skipping meals and snacks during the day to "save" your carbs for the big meal is actually a bad idea!
To keep your blood sugar stable eat breakfast. If your big turkey meal is later in the day eat a small snack midday.
Limit the amount of grains on your plate. It's tempting, I know, but these dishes should only occupy 1/4 of your plate.
Raw veggies are a better choice than those cooked in creams or gravies.
Calorie-free drinks (such as water) are a better option than punch or mixed drinks.
Dessert is okay! Just make it a small portion and slow down your super-fast eating pace so that you can enjoy it.
After your meal, gather your loved ones to go on a walk together. This is a great way to enjoy time with them as well as lower your blood sugar.
If you eat too much, it's okay. Don't beat yourself up, just get back on track tomorrow.
