What a wonderful start to the new school year and welcome to all of our new families and faculty that have joined our community! Also, please join me in welcoming our new Board Member, Sarah Piebes!

Thank you to everyone volunteering and fundraising for our school. Any contribution, no matter how little it may seem, is such an amazing gift!

Please be on the lookout for great opportunities to be a part of our fundraising events that benefit our school and our annual fund!

Thank you again and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Community Morning Meeting on Tuesday! And don't forget you can always join me before the meeting for "Coffee Talk" at 8:15 a.m. to discuss school topics and/or get more information about school events and ways you can get involved!

* Tuesday, October 3rd: Community Morning Meeting 9:15 am

Ms. Karin's First & Second Grade - Terrarium Presentation
Ms. Lynn & Ms. Nancy's Pre-Kindergarten Classes singing Laurel "Classics"
-We will have Bake Sale Items and Coffee available. All Proceeds Benefit Laurel School's Annual Fund! (If you'd like to share your baked goods and help raise funds, please bring in all items by Monday afternoon - as a reminder NO NUTS/TREE NUTS please!)
* Monday, October 9th: Columbus Day - NO SCHOOL
* Tuesday, October 10th All Laurel Family Cookbook Recipes Due
* Saturday, October 14th Paint Nite at Laurel! Fundraiser with Color Me Mine! Childcare Available, Call Color Me Mine today to reserve your spot (508) 539-8500 !
* Monday, October 16th - Movie Night at Laurel! Movie (tba) 5-7pm
Cost is $10 per child. Ages 4 and up or be able to sit and enjoy movie

-Monday "Mismatch Day" Wear any type of mismatched clothing!
-Tuesday "Superhero Day" Dress up as your favorite superhero!
-Wednesday "Whacky Hair Day"Sport your wackiest hair style!
-Thursday "Thinking of the Past" - Decades Day! Dress up as your decade!

-Friday "Fun Friday" PJ DAY! Dress in your favorite comfy clothes or PJ's for the day!
* Tuesday, October 31st: Annual Laurel Spirit Parade!
Students are welcomed to wear costumes to school. Please no violent/scary costumes or "weapons" allowed on campus. Also, please be mindful of dressing as other cultures for Halloween. We will have a costume parade for the entire community! All families are welcome to arrive and join us to see the parade in the front circle.

NOVEMBER
* Friday, November 17th Laurel's 36th Annual Harvest Night Gala at Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club. Our School Biggest Fundraiser of the YEAR!

Laurel School Family Cookbook

This will include all of our wonderful school families from Toddler to Elementary. Recipes Due by October 10th.The cookbook will also contain advertising space to promote local businesses of our families and the community! If you are interested to purchase an advertising spot or make a personal donation please fill out the Advertisement & Donation Order Form! Both the recipe and Donation form is available in the front hallway.
This is such a wonderful way for our community to connect and share delicious family recipes for a great cause!
