“Ms. Minnie” is the third chronicle to be released off of Dee-1’s upcoming Mixtape, Free Lunch and Sallie Mae. This track is a tribute to a middle school janitor that discovered a discouraged Dee-1, a recent college graduate, turned away from applying to be a teacher. Like an oracle in custodian clothing “Ms. Minnie” instructed Dee-1 on the path to being a teacher. The record is an uplifting reminder of how a little help from a kind stranger can make all the difference in the someone’s life for years to come.
