New at REMC

A picture is worth a thousand words! REMC1 can help you create precise, large-format, pictures, charts and other non-linguistic representations for your classroom with our brand new Epson SureColor printer. We can now print up to 36" wide banners, and can print on both adhesive and water resistant papers. Contact Jamie Johnson at 482-4520 or support@remc1.net to get started!

If a picture is worth a thousands words, what is a video worth? REMC1 wants to ensure we continue delivering valuable video content to your classroom. Please help us by completing this brief survey on your current video use and need. Completing the survey will enter you into the drawing for a copy of John R. Sowash’s “The Chromebook Classroom” book!

This month we are featuring Bob Mueller, who is our Senior Helpdesk Technician. Bob graduated from Northcentral Technical College in 2009, and went on to work for the Wausau School District from 2009 to 2012. Before moving to Michigan in 2016, he worked at Wausau Aspirus, Inc in a helpdesk role. Welcome Bob!

The Henry Ford and Litton Entertainment are proud to sponsor a third year of The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation Teacher Innovator Awards! We are looking for teachers who demonstrate an original and creative approach to teaching, exhibit resourcefulness, engage students, and are making a positive impact on not only their classroom but their community, colleagues, administrators, school, and/or district. We want to know what makes these teachers innovative? How do they define innovation? How do they convey innovation to their students?
Twenty teachers in total will receive prizes, with the top ten grand prize winners receiving a five-day long “Innovation Immersion Experience” at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan. Winners will be announced in June.
The awards were created to accompany the national television show, The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation which airs on CBS Saturday mornings. The TV show is hosted by CBS News correspondent Mo Rocca and provides a weekly celebration of the inventor’s spirit, telling fascinating stories of historic innovators of the past and forward-thinking visionaries of today.
