| Lions Weekly: May 25, 2022 | A Note From Mr. Sandefur Lion Family, We have made it to the conclusion of this school year, and it is hard to believe that we are at this point. I want to personally thank each and every educational partner, as this year has been an incredible success. While we still have a lot that we need to seek improvement on for our stakeholders, this year has been a time of renewal in our classrooms, spiritually and athletically across our campus. Your leadership team is working diligently to pray for exciting days ahead prayerfully. I hope to be able to share more information with you near the end of the summer and the beginning of the year regarding some exciting projects that are on the horizon. Enrollment has continued to grow throughout the year, and early indicators are that next year is poised to follow that trend. We have also been blessed to have experienced a record year in faithful giving as the sacrifices of some have benefited our entire school community in allowing us to address financial obligations, make strides in new areas, and establish a path for an incredibly healthy future. At this time, our Communications Department is working on a year in review document that will be emailed to all stakeholders sometime this summer. This review will highlight the year, share important giving information/projects, as well as highlight changes that are coming in the upcoming year. I could not be happier with the direction that we are headed and am thankful for the opportunity to share with you regarding the best that is to come. I am praying for each of our families that this summer would be a time of renewal and rest. I greatly look forward to seeing you soon and wish each and every one of you a safe and enjoyable summer break! God has been so good to us in so many ways. Your partnership and support is most certainly appreciated and one of our biggest blessings. It is because of your partnership, our phenomenal educators, and hard working students that we have continued to see success in closing the learning gaps along with huge growth in all areas. This is evident with our Summative Standardized IOWA testing results proving TKA Elementary to be one of the top in the nation academically. In elementary, we set a goal to strive for National Blue Ribbon (NBR) Status meaning to be at the top 85% or higher in the nation. We achieved and exceeded the NBR cut scores in many areas throughout elementary. In areas that we didn't quite reach NBR status, we still achieved top recognition in the nation reaching 80th percentile or higher in Reading/Language Arts and Math. This speaks volumes of the level of education being delivered at TKA. I'm soooo extremely proud of our fabulous teachers and students! Our entire elementary team contributes daily to this success along with your partnership! Our students ROCKED it! I wanted to share this awesome report with our families prior to summer vacation. Thank you again for the opportunity to love your child, educate your child, but most importantly to share God's truth with your child. Please enjoy a wonderful summer. We look forward to starting another school year with you in August. May God richly bless you and keep you.
