Young Writers’ Camp

UNCG Gate City Writes will host the Young Writers’ Camp from July 8-19, 2019.

Campers (grades K-12) in the morning session (9am-12pm) will create texts using digital tools such as storyboarding, blogging, and movie-making.

During afternoon sessions (1-4pm), campers can sign up for courses focused on fiction, spoken word, creative nonfiction, and podcasting.

In daily writing workshops, campers will work with UNCG faculty, graduate students, NC teachers, and local authors. The camp introduces young writers to the writing process and supports development of a variety of writing styles. All work is published on the camp website. Cost is $260 per workshop. Sign up here!
