It's truly been an unexpected and exciting year for us in the Secret Garden family.

We have spent the majority of the year back in studio recording our new CD which will be released by Universal in the spring of 2019.

The recordings were mostly done in our favourite Sanden studio in Kristiansand in Norway, with extra recordings also done in Dublin and London. We also had the opportunity to work once again with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and so that meant the hardship of returning to Prague to record them in their own studio! Only kidding - Prague is such a joy to visit and work there.

Throughout the recording we videoed the process and we will be able to post behind the scenes footage when the CD is released. The title is “Storyteller” and we are very excited about its upcoming release. There are 13 tracks in total including three vocal songs.

We managed to complete it just before our preparations for our Chinese tour which was hectic. But as a result we were able to present for the first time 10 new songs from the CD as part of our setlist which was really exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Thankfully they went down very well with the audiences and the response was great. This was our 2nd Chinese tour in just over a year and we have again been asked back for next year.

Despite the grueling schedule covering 10 different cities the warmth and enthusiasm of the audience made every minute of it worthwhile. They tell us so many amazing stories in the after show signings and it's always a pleasure and great fun to meet them.

Apart from the Chinese tour we also took a Spring break from the recording process and toured Norway with our smaller acoustic ensemble. This was a lovely tour covering North and south of Norway and a real pleasure to see it during its Winter wonderland glory, despite having to dig ourselves out of the snow on a few occasions !

We will now begin the New Year with a photo shoot and cover preparations for the release and follow that with promo work. So keep an eye out for updates regarding the release and we really look forward to letting this new Album go and presenting it worldwide.
