Stand Up for Theatre for Young Audiences: Read a message from TheatreWashington President Amy Austin regarding The Washington Post's editorial team's decision not to review TYA productions, nor publish advance features. Tonys Seek Candidates for Theatre Education Award (Playbill.com): The Tony Awards and partner Carnegie Mellon University are seeking candidates for the second annual Excellence in Theatre Education Award to be acknowledged at the Tony Awards telecast June 12. Deadline Feb 12. (Read More.)

Production Manager position at the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati (tyausa.org): Deadline to apply Feb 8. (Read More).

Cunningham Commission for Youth Theatre (Chicago Artists Resource): The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to announce that submissions are now being accepted for the Cunningham Commission for Youth Theatre. Playwrights from the Chicagoland area and alumni of The Theatre School are eligible to apply, and the winner will be announced in May. The deadline for submissions is March 14, 2016. (Read More.)

Young People's Theatre Announces $10,000 Ada Slaight Drama-in-Education Award (Broadwayworld.com.) In the interest of supporting and advancing the field of Drama-in-Education, YPT is excited to announce the Ada Slaight Drama-in-Education Award. This award of $10,000 has been made possible through a generous donation by The Slaight Family Foundation which led to the establishment of The Ada Slaight Education Centre at YPT, celebrating Ada Slaight's inspiring commitment to young artists and audiences.
