LSSI is the social ministry organization of the three ELCA synods in Illinois. Last year, LSSI served over 50,000 people across the state by providing whole-person care. Please prayerfully consider financial support to give others an opportunity. Click here to learn more about LSSI

Thank you for supporting the youth as we prepare to head to New Orleans for the Youth Gathering in July. Our next fundraiser for the Youth Gathering is a flower sale sponsored by Gensler Gardens. There are single plants, flats, hanging baskets and gift cards as an option. The youth will be selling flowers and Gensler Gift Cards until May 2nd, 2024. Ladies Tea
The Ladies Tea held on Saturday, April 13th, was a tremendous success. We have several people to thank who helped make it such a wonderful event. First, we would like to thank three talented young people who provided the event's music - Berkeley Stenstrom, Marshall Ferry and Jackson Ferry. Next, a thank you to Nancy Scheel, Deb Carlson, and Mary Kay Schingoethe for being the hostesses that day. Another thank you to Nancy Scheel and Deb Carlson for creating the unique take-home gifts that were given to the attendees. We would like to thank Keith Iverson for being the “official” photographer for the day and another thank you to Jill Davenport who created the menus and tickets that were used for the tea. A thank you to the ladies who brought their beautiful artwork for display. Last, but not least, a thank you to each of the ladies who attended and another round of applause to Tracey from the Vintage Goose who prepared amazing sandwiches and desserts for the High Tea! Thank you all, Deb Iverson and Melinda Alekna

A Little Free Library is a book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. They function on the honor system. You do not need to share a book to take one. We are blessed to have a little free library by our playground.

St. Market is in Need of Supplies
We have had several people utilize our St. Mark Market. The supplies are running low with the demand being higher than we have experienced in several months. The best items for St. Market are crackers with peanut butter or cheese in them, canned goods with a pull top (ravioli is a good one), breakfast bars, bottled water, travel deodorant, bars of soap, travel toothbrush and toothpaste, meat sticks (without refrigeration required), and other easy to carry food items that don’t require cooking or refrigeration. We have designated a spot in the kitchen to place donations, please look for the sign on the kitchen counter. Thank you for helping to love and serve our neighbors.
