What have you heard being done? Has anyone done something for you? What have you been doing to share kindness? Check out the real-life experiences we have been told at St. Mark ... Invited a friend to go on a walk, made Valentine's for an elderly widow, made Valentine's for a senior living center, I paid for a 'beer in advance" for someone I knew would be stopping by at Carlyle, taking a St. Mark cd to a friend, made Valentine's for St. Mark homebound, paid for the car behind me at Starbuck's, baked and delivered cookies for Valentine’s, brought soup to someone that is ill, treats for co-workers, phoning friends, sending lots of cards,My daughter invited me over to lunch, a neighbor brought us homemade bread, getting cards and calls, given a gift card with appreciation, gotten called by a friend to get the vaccine, I've been surprised and touched by random outpouring of support as a health care worker...received gift cards, meals and other thoughtful gestures. We encourage Acts of Kindness always, and especially during the month of February. Let's keep it going! | This year’s Lent Devotions booklet, Steadfast Love, is available for pickup at the church. Recently, our region entered back into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, which allows us to gather in groups of up to 50 people. Because of this, we are excited to announce that limited in-person worship has resumed. We will start small and expand our efforts as needed. Our 9:30 am live service will be able to host up to 40 worshippers in the congregation. We will have pre-registration and assigned seats for those who are registered. We will also continue to follow the small group guidelines we have had since July, which call for signing a waiver, wearing a mask, and staying six feet away from others. If there is enough demand, additional Sunday services will be added in March. Register here for worship. Read the full article here. | Mobile Pantry Volunteer Sign-Up Please call the church office if you are able to help. Upcoming dates are March 27, April 24, and June 26. If you are not able to donate, ask someone else to donate in your place; a neighbor, a co-worker, relative, or friend. It takes only about an hour to donate a pint of blood.
