The first of the five mid-week in-person services will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 6:45 pm, on Wednesday, February 24 and a recording will be made available the following morning. During these services of Lenten reflection, we will consider Five Miraculous Moments in the Gospel of Mark, a series of stories that we wouldn’t otherwise hear on Sunday mornings this year. These will be prayerful, spoken-word services.

Registration for all worship services will be available through the St. Mark website, www.stmarklc.com, or go directly to this link to register.

Celebrating 60 Years of St. Mark
Each month as St. Mark celebrates 60 years, we will be doing something involving “60.” February we are encouraging Acts of Kindness! If you are in need of some ideas check out
RandomActsOfKindness.org

Please share what you are doing for others or what someone has done for you by clicking this link and answering a few simple questions.

kindness pass it on

Acts of Kindness are happening!
What have you heard being done? Has anyone done something for you? What have you been doing to share kindness?

Check out the real-life experiences we have been told at St. Mark ...
Invited a friend to go on a walk, made Valentine's for an elderly widow, made Valentine's for a senior living center, I paid for a 'beer in advance" for someone I knew would be stopping by at Carlyle, taking a St. Mark cd to a friend, made Valentine's for St. Mark homebound, paid for the car behind me at Starbuck's, baked and delivered cookies for Valentine’s, brought soup to someone that is ill, treats for co-workers, phoning friends, sending lots of cards,My daughter invited me over to lunch, a neighbor brought us homemade bread, getting cards and calls, given a gift card with appreciation, gotten called by a friend to get the vaccine, I've been surprised and touched by random outpouring of support as a health care worker...received gift cards, meals and other thoughtful gestures.

We encourage Acts of Kindness always, and especially during the month of February. Let's keep it going!

Update sign

Worship Update!
Recently, our region entered back into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, which allows us to gather in groups of up to 50 people. Because of this, we are excited to announce that limited in-person worship has resumed. We will start small and expand our efforts as needed.

Our 9:30 am live service will be able to host up to 40 worshippers in the congregation. We will have pre-registration and assigned seats for those who are registered. We will also continue to follow the small group guidelines we have had since July, which call for signing a waiver, wearing a mask, and staying six feet away from others. If there is enough demand, additional Sunday services will be added in March.

Register here for worship.

Blood Drive

St. Mark will be hosting another blood drive with Rock River Valley Blood Center on Tuesday, March 23 from 1:30 - 7:00 P.M.

In our last blood drive we had collected 33 pints of whole blood, which equaled to saving 99 lives! Great job! And we had 20 new donors. The center will be bringing their double red blood cell machine on the 23rd. If you are interested in that or need some more information, please contact me for a question and answer sheet. If you are not able to donate, ask someone else to donate in your place; a neighbor, a co-worker, relative, or friend.

It takes only about an hour to donate a pint of blood. This includes less than 10 minutes to actually draw the blood with additional time spent at registration, pre-donation screening and the snack/rest period after donating.

Click on this link to register. or call the church office 815-398-3557 and Jill Davenport can get you registered.
