Our Mission

For those new to the group.....
Inspired by the Super Fun Philanthropic Chicks of Scottsdale, our mission is to have fun and make a difference! Rochester has a long history of great philanthropy. However, with the changing economy, many of our amazing founding companies have been lost. While new leaders have started to rise to the occasion, there is still much to be done.

I wanted to create a fun group of like minded women in Rochester dedicated to getting together once a month for networking, field trips and most of all philanthropy. We will have speakers from various non-profits and together we can help raise awareness and funds for these groups. We will all contribute a small donation each month of about $20- $30 to the non-profit of the month and there may be other expenses depending on our venue. (Each location will vary). I hope to build life long friendships for all of us.

-The Strings for Success Program successfully traveled to Washington DC with their young violinists thanks to our support!
-It's been confirmed, our first Alex & Ani event to support Rochester Childfirst Network was, in fact, one of the largest in the store's history!

-In case you missed it, our first event landed us a "Thumbs Up" by the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.

Hope to see your there!
Elizabeth

Keeping track?

-January we supported the Rochester Childfirst Network
-February we supported Strings for Success
-March was a great night at the Culinary Center supporting Bethany House
-April was the legendary Alex&Ani event to support RCN
-June was our first coed event at Black Button Distilling supporting the Baby Safe Sleep Coalition
-July we enjoyed the scenic views at Hedges while supporting Bethany House
-August we rocked at the Genesee Brew House supporting the Baby Safe Sleep Coalition
-October was our last event to support RCN. Proceeds from the night will allow all of the RCN Staff to be trained in the Darkness To Light (D2L) Program, making RCN the only early childhood education facility in the City to have 100% of their Staff trained in this critical program.
-In November our guests were treated to a private tour of Artisan Works and then an amazing presentation by Cloud Clipper Tea. Personally, I will never look at tea the same way again.
-December will be a showcase of those businesses that have supported us over the past year (plus some new friends too). Get ready for the holiday season at the first annual SuperFunRoc Gift Grab at the Country Club of Rochester on December 4th. Eat, Drink, and be Murray (as we say in my house)
