Case studies - Finding solutions to pain points

Clients often approach me wanting to get examples about how other businesses have dealt with tricky business situations. Sometimes this involves product launches - the good, the bad and the ugly. Other times, it's to illustrate how an organisation changed its supply chain or revamped their customer service or marketing. It's just smart to gain this insight, so you can offer a range of options for your business and clients. One place I like is the The Case Centre, which has the world's largest collection of case studies for purchase.

Organisational charts

Tracking executive job postings can give you a clue into what type of strategy a company might follow in the future. However, it is often hard to figure out where a senior executive fits in an organisation's reporting structure. One fee-based service that does this is The Official Board. It is a fee-based service, but you can register and get 15 free visual organisation charts at no cost.

Market research reports

Here's a great blog that gives snippets of market research reports for free. There's a variety of topics, from the global demand for baby products to robotics. Written by the team at MarketResearch.com, newly published reports are highlighted with a link to the fulltext. Don't forget that you don't have to pay for the full report if you only need a few facts. My subscription allows me to buy by-the-slice, at a fraction of the cost to you!

If you need help finding published information on any topic, market or industry, I can help. Desk / secondary research is my specialty, and I have access to fee-based news, business research and market data that you won't find on Google. Why wouldn't you want that advantage? Contact Cathy or +64 027 43 93 795 if you need any help with solving your market research problems. I would welcome any referrals too.
