Garden & Nursery News

The Garden (1st grade & up) kicks off the 2018-2019 school year this Sunday! Kids, bring your Bibles! Activity pages will continue to be on the table by the Sanctuary doors for kids who choose to stay in Worship. The Garden will not be held on Communion Sundays.

When the Garden class returns, we will also have Bible Story Time for our 3's and under in the Nursery. If you are interested in volunteering for the Nursery, just let Jen L. know.

Back to School Potluck

This Sunday After Worship!
We are looking forward to our potluck extravaganza and time of fellowship on Sunday. It is always exciting (and delicious) to see what everyone brings. Hope you can join us!

Youth Group

Fall Schedule Starts September 16th!

Youth Group (grades 5 and up) will meet most Sunday evenings of the school year, from 6:00-7:30, starting September 16th. We will not meet during the four weeks of Fall Bible School so that everyone has time to participate in that special event!



Crochet Class: Magic Circles with Jess

September 22nd at 2pm
Come learn, or review, this easy crochet technique. Sign up sheet on the bulletin board. We had a great time at our last crochet event! Come be a part of the laughter and fun!

Fall Bible School Starts This Month

What better time to visit the orchard than September & October?!? Mark your calendars for after Worship on Sunday, September 30, October 7, and October 14 as well as Saturday, October 20 at 3:00 (which will also be our Fall Fest). More info will be sent out in the Scoop, by email, our website, and Facebook as soon as we have it. We hope everyone is ready for this new adventure!

CSA 2018

Today is CSA day, from 4-7pm. This week's goodies will include
hot peppers in oil, tomatoes, potatoes, and more. Don't forget to grab your recipes!

If you need to make arrangements to pick up tomorrow, just give us a call. Our fall hours are 8:30 to 2:30.

Award Winning Jam!

Goodness Grows is celebrating our Canfield Fair awards. Blueberry Lemonade Juicy Jam and Peach Habanero Jungle Jam both won 1st place! Our decorated Minion pumpkin won 3rd place! We are so excited and so proud of all our hard-working jam makers and pumpkin decorators. Our staff and clients also enjoyed spending time together at the fair last Friday. Now we can't wait for next year!

Classes Return

Our friends from Leetonia are back and were already hard at work this week. They will be joining us here every Tuesday from 9:30-1:00 through mid-October. Starting the week of September 17th, our friends from Crestview will be here on Fridays and our new friends from Salem High School will join us on Thursdays. Come see us and lend a hand. Laughter and fun promised!


Coat & Clothing Drive

October 13th!
Our Coat & Clothing Giveaway is rapidly approaching! We are happy to accept all donations. Drop off clothing and outerwear any time. Take items to the storage room by the Cafe or up to the Green Room. Please help us spread the word. Let people know we are accepting donations and tell people who might need a little helping hand to come see us on October 13th!

The 130th Annual Columbiana Street Fair

Head to Columbiana this weekend for family fun at the Street Fair!
Thursday, September 6th, 5-11pm (Parade at 6:15pm)
Friday, September 7th, 5-11pm
Saturday, September 8th, 12-11pm

Breakfast on the Farm - September 8th

Enjoy breakfast on the farm at Baker's Golden Dairy, Saturday 8am-12pm, for a $3 donation. Proceeds will benefit the Columbiana County Farm Bureau college scholarship fund for students looking to pursue a career in agriculture. Registration is not required, but is appreciated to help plan accordingly.

Cast call for men and women plus children 5 and older on September 17th and 18th, 7-9 pm at Crown House behind Main Street Theater, Columbiana.

Fall Fun at 4WD Hardware

Jeep & Greet - Friday, September 21st from 4-8pm
Fall Bash - Saturday, September 22nd from 9am-5pm, with obstacle course and RTI ramp, free food and drinks from 11am-2pm (while it lasts), contests, raffles, and trivia.

McMaster Farms

Fall is on its way and the amazing pumpkins at McMaster Farms prove it! Head out to the farm for their 75th anniversary celebration on September 22nd at 4 p.m.

Aspire Tour - Hermitage, PA

An evening of laughter, learning, stories, and music for women.
