Thanks to everyone who participated in making this year's Lock In a success! We made pizzas for dinner, acted our way through a special game of Charades with props (Ask Jill how she rock climbs!) which lead into a discussion about imitating Jesus, had a photo scavenger hunt across the property, battled with Nerf guns, enjoyed ice cream, played board games, slept a little, and ended Monday morning with prayers and a brief devotion about love. She is willing to share her family recipe and teach us all how to make a truly delicious spaghetti sauce. Jars will be provided. There will be a small fee to cover ingredients. (Fee - around $5 or less - to be determined when we have a total count of participants.) The ending time of 2pm is really just a guess. We could be done much faster or a little later...depending on our kitchen skills and number of participants. They built raised beds, moved gravel to fill holes, transported pavers, and, of course, painted a rock. (Have you spotted all our new rock memories? Take a walk a see what you can discover!) We thank them, and all of this summer's hard working folks, for helping goodness grow! Big thanks also go to Canfield Presbyterian for their support of Goodness Grows and all their time and effort making the Mission Trips possible! | Our kitchen crew prepared breakfast for lunch on Tuesday. We enjoyed bacon, eggs, applesauce, and blueberry pancakes. Yum! Perfect for a drab and rainy day! The rest of the week was full of cleaning, weed whacking, staking tomato plants, making seasonal favorite jams Peach Habanero and Peach Lemonade, and much more.
