We have had a GREAT first week at CHCA. The first day of school is always exciting for our teachers and staff. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces on campus. There was a great feel on both campus and students seemed genuinely excited to reunite with friends, see their teachers and get back in the routine of school.

I want to thank everyone who attended our Welcome Back to School events and our Orientation Night. We had great attendance at all our events and the students (and teachers) had a fun time introducing new students and families to the Warrior Way! I hope Orientation provided answers to many of your questions regarding the beginning of school and life at CHCA. If you have any questions or if you need assistance in any way, please let us know.

There are several meetings regarding sports, school trips and other school activities in the coming weeks. Please make sure to read the Warrior Express each week to stay up to date on the happenings at CHCA. We hope you and your student have a great year!

There is a Freshman Orientation and Parent Meeting on Monday, August 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the West Campus cafeteria. We look forward to seeing all 9th graders and their parents.

Our Fall Sports Kick-Off and Pep Rally event hosted by the Warrior Club will take place Thursday, August 16th, at the football stadium at 6:00 p.m. We are excited to officially kick off our fall season with this "Warrior Family All School Pep Rally. Each fall team (from elementary to varsity) will be introduced as they walk onto the field. The Warrior Club will also be providing a meal for each CHCA PLAYER and COACH. Come join us as we meet our new Warrior teams and coaches!
Make plans to continue to support ALL of our Cottage Hill Warrior sports teams this fall. We look forward to another year of success. It is a great time to be a Warrior and see the plans God has for our school both on and off the field.

West Campus Reminders

1. Schedule change requests are due by Monday, August 13th. Please be patient with schedule change requests. Mrs. Hall is working diligently to accommodate students.
2. Mrs. Ali White is the office manager on the West Campus. If you need to send an email notification regarding student absence, tardies, and dismissal, please email her at whitea@chbss.org.
3. Students will be given an INow login and a student email/Office365 account within the first few days of school. It is imperative that students responsibly communicate with their teachers using the school email and Office365 accounts.
4. Please remember to pay your student activity fees.
5. Please be sure to read over the 2018-2019 Student Handbook found on the website.
6. Please sign and turn in all packet forms by Friday, August 17th.

Finally, please know that we are here to help your students and look forward to working with them.

There will be a mandatory Swim/Dive Team meeting with Coach Steve Johnson at the High School Campus (conference room) on Tuesday, August 14th at 6:00 PM to go over all the details for this year's exciting swimming season. Meeting will include information on team costs, practices, and the season's swim meet schedule. Please make every effort to have at least one parent present for this meeting. We will go over what is expected from the swimmers and parents! All of the necessary forms will be handed out and will need to be filled out at the meeting.

Ballet classes will continue to be offered through the ROC and Cottage Hill on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The mission is to provide professional dance instruction and appreciation for the art of dance in a safe, nurturing, convenient and Christ-centered studio.

Class times are as follows:
Tuesday
Ballet - Beginner/Intermediate
2-4 years - 3:00 pm
5-8 years - 3:30 pm
Tuition $40 per month

Thursdays
Ages 9-13 years
Beginner/Intermediate Ballet -3:30 pm
Intermediate/Advanced Ballet -4:30 pm
Intermediate/Advanced Jazz - 5:30 pm
Tuition $55/month

An annual Registration of fee of $30 is required for each participant.

*Annual payments waives Registration Fee.

Textbooks and supply lists are available on the CHCA website. Please note that Campus Bookstore is prepared to help you with textbook selections. Students can take a copy of their 2018-2019 academic schedule to 6109 Old Shell Road and they will be happy to help you!
