OntSexCurriculumUpdate

There is mounting concern regarding the controversial s-x curriculum scheduled to be implemented in K-12 schools across Ontario this September. The newest addition of this curriculum was released to the public on February 23rd. Click here to read it now.

A surface level consultation consisting of 1 parent per Ontario school was conducted, however, many feel the questions in this consultation were vague and excluded important specifics about the curriculum's content.

Monte McNaughton, of the Progressive Conservatives, has been the most vocal Member of the Provincial Parliament (MPP) questioning the curriculum and advocating for added parental consultation surrounding it. McNaughton stated that his office has been, “inundated with calls, emails and petitions from parents who felt they were left our of the consultation process.”

Click here to watch a video of MPP Monte McNaughton addressing the s-x curriculum topic at the Ontario Legislature.

A study done by the American-based National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy found that teens rated parents as the most influential source in their sexual decision making with only 4-5% of teens reporting that school and educators were the most influential.

Along with Monte McNaughton, we also believe the input of parents on topic of s-x education is a of the utmost of importance. Click here to read more.

Please join us in adding your voice to those who are expressing concern about the curriculum and the parental consultation process.

UPDATE ON THE BATHROOM BILL

C-279Stopped

Bill C-279 (The Gender Identity Bill or more commonly known as 'The Bathroom Bill') was killed in the Senate and sent back to the House of Commons where it is said it will likely die as well. This bill would have potentially opened the doors to sexual predators entering girls or guys washrooms based on the gender that they identified with. This is great news for Canadians!

THANK YOU to all of you who fasted, prayed and emailed your MPs and Senators over the last several months expressing your strong concerns regarding this bill.

Please take a moment to email our Senators thanking them for their recent decision.

Please also continue to pray for a move of the love God in the transgender community and show them the love of God at every opportunity.

A list of all Senators can be found here.

JOIN US IN THE FIGHT AGAINST E-BOLA IN WEST AFRICA:

From Faytene Grasseschi

It was my deep honour to spend some of my beginning years in Christian work in the back woods of West Africa, Liberia. The land, the people, and what God was doing there were all absolutely beautiful. Never in my life have I ever encountered a people who in the midst of profound struggle with things such as war, terror, hunger, disease and more had such joyful determination to overcome. I quickly fell in love with this nation and it's people. ... click here to read more ...
