There is mounting concern regarding the controversial s-x curriculum scheduled to be implemented in K-12 schools across Ontario this September. The newest addition of this curriculum was released to the public on February 23rd. Click here to read it now.
A surface level consultation consisting of 1 parent per Ontario school was conducted, however, many feel the questions in this consultation were vague and excluded important specifics about the curriculum's content.
Monte McNaughton, of the Progressive Conservatives, has been the most vocal Member of the Provincial Parliament (MPP) questioning the curriculum and advocating for added parental consultation surrounding it. McNaughton stated that his office has been, “inundated with calls, emails and petitions from parents who felt they were left our of the consultation process.”

A study done by the American-based National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy found that teens rated parents as the most influential source in their sexual decision making with only 4-5% of teens reporting that school and educators were the most influential.
Along with Monte McNaughton, we also believe the input of parents on topic of s-x education is a of the utmost of importance. Click here to read more.
