Prayer

For whom are you praying today?
How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"I pray your week has been a great one. It sure has been hot here in the Northeast, so I am sure where you are it is also a scorcher. I have some family in Texas that get this encouragement and they have been having 100+ temps. Stay hydrated and stay cool if you can. Extra prayers for those who may have to work out in this heat or in factories. I am spoiled and work in the a/c every day. Thank you, Jesus!"

"My WORD for this week is “JOY.” I know there have been many of us going through some trying times, so it may not be so easy to feel the “joy.” Life sometimes overtakes our thinking, and we feel like we are drowning. But, we have this promise. The “joy” of the Lord is our strength! When we feel weak and beat down – we can still have His “joy” that we cannot understand. We can experience that “joy” in spite of how we are feeling. I am not saying we are going to always be laughing and having a grand time, because there are things happen that make us sad. It is our human nature that gives us sad emotions. What I am saying is the Holy Spirit is our comforter and we can find pure “joy” during the storms. It is unexplainable, unspeakable, indescribable, and unbelievable. But we can believe it, because Jesus loves us so much! That is why we have the Holy Spirit to be our guide. We can bask in His presence and behold His “joy” in our heart. Give all our cares to Him – He cares for us and wants us to have His perfect “joy.” I pray this week we all experience His “joy” to help us through anything that comes our way!"

You will teach me how to live a holy life. Being with you will fill me with joy;
at your right hand I will find pleasure forever.
~ Psalm 16:11 (NCV)

News of the Week

Monday brought Jason Parry to work on a project for use up near the fire pit. He came to build a picnic table and some of our crew were lucky enough to get to assist him. Jason is also making a prep table to be used for meals/snacks up there. Thanks, Jason! The rest of the GG folks were outside moving rocks around our berry bushes.

More visitors arrived on Tuesday, with Sue Weaver coming out for a while and our friend Willie from Ortz's Crooked Creek Farm stopping by to talk microgreens. We know Willie from Harbel's Farmers Market. He gave Rachel some great microgreen growing tips because there's always more to learn! Stop by the market this Saturday between 10am-2pm to visit Jen at the GG table and to meet Willie. He has amazing microgreens as well as alpaca yarn for sale.

On Wednesday, we headed to Lisbon to Dillon's Fruit Farm to pick blueberries for our CSA subscribers. If you've never gone blueberry picking, we highly recommend it! Today we are busy getting the rest of the CSA items together...including corn straight from the McMaster family's farm! Then, who knows what tomorrow will bring!

~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
