The Feel Good Place

The Tim Thornton Quartet

'My latest record "The Feel Good Place" is released on Jellymould Jazz October 2015 and available in downloadable format from March 2015.
The recording features James Gardiner-Bateman on alto saxophone, Grant Windsor on piano and Chris Draper on drums. This group has been performing for a few years together, playing monthly at Ronnie Scott's as well as mini tours around the UK. I'm so proud of the music we've made together, this is a really special band to me, everybody has given their all to make this group and this record a great product. It features all original compositions of mine with the exception of one Paul McCartney tune which I re-arranged for the group. I set out to make a record which makes you feel good, as that's the best part of making music for me, and I think we've achieved that. It's a very honest representation of what happens live on stage for us and we recorded it all in one day doing one or two takes of each song. I sincerely hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it - I always enjoy making music with these incredibly talented musicians
