A Note From Mr. Sandefur

Lion Family,

This past Sunday we had the honor to prayerfully commission the class of 2023 during our annual Baccalaureate service. While this season that I affectionately describe as "Maycember" due to its hectic activities can be stressful, Sunday was a reminder of our "why" as an institution. We are truly grateful for the sacrifices that our families make to partner alongside us in providing a biblically based education that centers on developing servant leaders that will change the world for Christ. As we spent time in worship, scriptural teaching, and dedicated prayer for the class of 2023, I walked away incredibly encouraged that our purpose as an institution is at work in all we do and is producing results in our students. Please join me in praying specifically for the Class of 2023 as they prepare for commencement and the last few weeks on campus.

Summer Math Tutoring

2nd-4th Grades

Dear TKA Families,

My name is Ms. Addison, and I teach third grade here at TKA. I have been a part of the TKA family for four years now, including a portion of my masters degree internship program. I am excited to announce I will be offering summer tutoring for rising, or current year, 2nd through 4th grade math. I will be offering tutoring to better solidify skills from the grade the student will be leaving, or working on skills to prepare for the upcoming school year. The cost will be $30/half hour session in small groups and $35/half hour session for individual sessions. This will be made payable through your FACTS account. I will be working out of my classroom in the Ogle Elementary building.

IMPORTANT: Deadline to sign up is May 22, 2023.

I have created a sign-up form in which you can decide which dates and times work best for you. Students will be signed up for 30 minutes each session. The sign-up page lists all of the available dates. Please choose dates that work best for you and the number of sessions you would like. If you need to cancel a session or would like to be added to a session, please email me 48 hours in advance. Details are listed on the sign-up page. Dates are only available in June.

Please select the dates and times from the sign-up page below. Please know space is limited.

Thank you in advance for the opportunity to be a part of your student's education. I look forward to a fun and successful summer.

Visitor Policy

TKA Visitor Policy

In order to help maintain a safe and instructionally based learning environment for our students, all visitors for middle and high school must enter through the front door of the Anderson Building and sign in in the middle/high school office in order to receive a visitor's pass. All visitors for elementary must enter the front door of the Ogle Building in order to receive a visitor's pass. This pass should be visible at all times so that TKA faculty and staff know that you have checked in at the office.

Our doors are open to visitors, but please call ahead of time to schedule conferences with your child’s teachers. This will prevent interruptions to instruction and the loss of the valuable learning time of our students. Adults will not be allowed to wander the halls of the building or hold conferences with teachers during instructional times.

TKA family lunch visitors should follow the above procedure. Lunch tickets are $5 each.

Students who are not enrolled at TKA are not permitted to visit TKA students during the school day, which includes lunch.

This policy has been developed in order to help maintain a safe and instruction focused environment at school each day. Any visitor who does not meet these expectations may be asked to leave school grounds.
