Thank you for believing in us!
Dear friends of the horses and burros,
Here is a special message from youth member Emma Woyak. If you click on the picture above you see Emma addressing an audience at a YEA! sponsored event that supporters like you helped make possible in January of this year. Below is a special thank you message from Emma, age 13.
I want to thank you for helping to make this organization possible. It has done so much for me, personally.
The first time that I really became involved was in February of last year. I was able to go on a field trip with YEA! to learn about wild horses. As soon as I met the horses I fell in love. Then Denise & Robin took us to meet domestic horses so we could touch them and feed them (because you NEVER feed or pet WILD horses.)
Then when we started preparing for Robin's "Rocky" to come. Never could I have imagined then that my own mustang was soon to be born!
I helped care for Rocky for about a year before my parents told me that I was going to get a mustang all my own!
"Mikey & Me" would not have been possible without friends like you. Not only that but I have also done public speaking!!! I am proud to speak up for mustangs and burros.
I have also participated in fundraisers such as car washes. And in 2014, YEA! began offering riding lessons to student volunteers.
When I am on Chief I feel free as the wind. It feels good outside exercising with "Chief" & "Mikey." Chief is 15 hands tall and he loves me! Mikey is a young colt from Chilly Pepper Equine Rescue.
I cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done for us all over the past year. When I watched the fireworks on the 4th I thought about each of you. We are like the gears that run this "YEA-Machine" but you are the gas that keeps us going!
