IT'S ON: Biggest AIM Mobilization to date: Two days of action. Day One: May 21st!

With the NED and Constitution pipes no longer absorbing the energy of advocates, Spectra's AIM pipeline now becomes the big focus, and the need for action is URGENT: construction is already underway for this high-pressure, large-diameter pipe sited within 105 feet of critical Indian Point facilities. Like those other pipes, this one crosses multiple states and uses the same tired excuses of supplying fuel to New England, despite the fact that New England doesn't need or want the pipe. Now is the time to stop this pipeline for good.

PLEASE HELP: The local community in Westchester is calling on people to come from all parts of the region to physically block construction. Direct action has proven to be the most effective tool in disrupting infrastructure projects and garnering media attention, political support, and wider public awareness. At this point, all regulatory interventions have been exhausted. Years of hearings, petitions, submitted comments, expert testimony, opposition by local elected officials and residents have been ignored. FERC and Spectra even ignored Governor Cuomo's call to halt construction.
THEY IGNORED THE GOVERNOR!

What else is left for all of us to do but TO ACT?

PCSTP

ResistAIM action, Westchester. It's time to put it on the line.

Saturday, May 21st, 9AM –12PM Please join us at a Westchester location to be disclosed later, for an action that will be safe, exciting, and so creative you'd regret missing it (more details released soon). We need a BIG turnout, both from those willing to risk arrest and those who can be part of a much larger support team (we're gonna need a LOTTA coffee!) Sign up HERE.

A note if you are planning to take part in the Break Free action in Albany: word is there'll be no restrictions that would prevent anyone from doing both actions.

DAY TWO: May 23rd, Let's turn it up on NY Senators

Senator Charles Schumer needs to stand up against the AIM Pipeline. Senator Schumer can influence the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the rest of the Senate to reject this pipeline at the federal level. We will gather to tell Schumer we need him to:
1. Publicly request a full stop to all construction
2. Join Governor Cuomo in calling for an independent health and safety evaluation
3. Lead a charge among fellow Senators in states along the pipeline route to put an end to this project once and for all.
12 noon at 780 Third Ave., @ 46th Street.
