Six feet, please, sir.

Hi Friends,

We are now in the sixth week of our shelter in place order, and it seems like we're all hitting a bit of a wall. The stress, worry, and grief of the pandemic, resulting economic crisis, and ever-present but newly-illuminated injustices present in our society are relentless. Cabin fever and burnout are real. The collective trauma we are experiencing is compounded by the uncertainty of when we'll be able to come back together to be in community with each other in a physical space. House cats are tired of their humans encroaching on their space. Dogs are, well dogs are fine, so at least there's that.

We feel the difficulty of this moment just like you do, and we remain committed to supporting you in anyway we can--including by sharing information and resources to help you weather this crisis.

As part of our work facilitating multi-agency virtual calls with front-line safety net health and mental health providers, we are collecting the valuable resources they share to keep each other up-to-date with timely information. With their consent, we are making those resources available to you via Dropbox.

In this newsletter, we have specifically highlighted some financial resources, information hubs, and of course, intermission ideas, to help you continue to navigate the public health and economic crises. We know there is an overwhelming number of resources, loans, grants, FAQs, science, and to-do lists in this moment. We will do our best to bring you manageable information about how you can access opportunities and navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are also available to answer questions and provide support, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

Self & Community Care

As we all continue to adjust to the realities of staying at home, meeting via Zoom, and adapting our practices to support our communities, it can be difficult to maintain energy and focus, manage anxiety and grief, and balance supporting one another with taking care of ourselves. Anticipating the shelter-in-place order likely extending past the current April 30th mark, we want to offer you the following COVID-19 Principles to keep in mind as you continue to think about how to care for yourselves and your teams.
