NEWS & EVENTS

Summer at GG

Today is the big day ~ first Weekly Share Pick-up Day! We are so excited to kick off our 2019 season.

On Monday we had our first mission group of the summer. Canfield Presbyterian spent the day with us and weeded, planted, mulched, painted, and more. It was a fun and productive day. Big thanks to Pastor Larry, Lisa, Don, and all the youth for their effort and enthusiasm!

Sue Weaver, Tori, Shawn, and Dustin were in the kitchen on Tuesday, making an out-of-this-world chicken parmigiana. We all appreciate having Sue here as a volunteer each week, helping the young adults create wonderful dishes. Thanks, Sue!

The extremely rainy spring has made planting a definite challenge this year, as you can imagine. Just like a majority of the farmers in NE Ohio...and all across the Midwest...we have been struggling to get the seeds and sprouts in the gardens and fields. Now we are anxiously waiting and watching to see how the crops will do this year. Please keep us and all the farmers in your prayers throughout this entire growing season.

Birdfish Fundraiser

Thanks to everyone who stopped by on Wednesday night to help raise money for Goodness Grows! Another big thank you to the fellas of Birdfish for hosting this event! We appreciate their community spirit and involvement. We all had a great time chatting, playing games, eating jam, and enjoying this fun local business.

Check out this month's newsletter!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40

What can YOU do?
