FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

From LA to DC, Indica Returns Home for Exclusive Music Video Shoot and Performances

Washington, D.C. — May 2018 — (Acclaim PR) From LA to DC, rising rap star INDICA is quickly gaining visibility in the music industry. And during Memorial Day Weekend through early June, the unofficial kick off to summer, INDICA is home for an exclusive video shoot and performances in the DMV (short for DC, Maryland and Virginia), where it all started. Set to team up with Masthead Entertainment, The INDICA will bring his banger “Money Mayweather” — from his highly rated “Anxious Angel” album — to life with an ingenuous music video. He will also perform at a popular concert venue, Chrome Cafe.

Although INDICA is Los Angeles based, he hails from the DMV. The super talented rapper is certainly enjoying the fruits of his labor and expansive following, but also genuinely desires to connect with fans on his home turf. Shooting the "Money Mayweather" video and performing in the DMV are perfect vehicles to fortify his fan base in the area. Notably, INDICA has chosen a historic location (thanks to one of his AAU fathers Ivan Jones) to shoot the video. He'll be working with Andrew Smith, Founder and Creative Visionary, of Nova Initia Productions, LLC. and Dominique, Special effects Makeup Artist of Genius Vision Production & Consulting.

"I am excited to link up with Drew to shoot the video. I have not worked with him before, but I liked his vibe, his creative concepts and ideas for the video. We decided as two young Black, up and coming artists and entrepreneurs to join forces to produce this project, showcasing not only my work, but the special visual gems and unique vibe of the DMV," says INDICA. The rapper adds, "I'm really stoked about shooting this video at a historic facility in the area and look forward to creating an artistic masterpiece, which fuses my music with elements of the boxing gym, the owner and head trainer. I am confident the result will be a bonafide classic video."

In addition to shooting "Money Mayweather," INDICA is gearing up for a performance at Chrome in Falls Church, Virginia on Saturday, May 26, where he will perform a set following super girl band Bella Donna. The humble, yet confident INDICA views this performance as ideal platform to reach DMV audiences. INDICA is especially grateful for his former AAU basketball Coach “Pitt” for locking in his appearance.

INDICA’s promotional stint in the DMV is certainly a family affair, as his brother Chris, who has a background in video broadcasting (@creative_vent) and personal entrepreneurial passion in street and special event photography, will shoot for him. Meanwhile, his brother Kevin (@knowcompetition) will work actively behind the scenes to support the INDICA brand.

"It feels good to be coming home with people who support and love me. They'll all get to see me in a different 'field' -- a space that many would say they could have never imagined, particularly since I was really quiet and heavily involved in sports,” says INDICA.

This year is quickly proving to be a year of prosperity for INDICA. The super talent kicked off the year with the full studio album release “Anxious Angel,” which continues to generate a buzz on the rap circuit; scored a high-profile performance at the acclaimed SXSW 2K18 “Heat Beneath the Street with Tommy Boy” and later lit the stage at the "Moving In S.Y.N.C. Chasing Sound" show w/ Envy Records & Maze Entertainment in Atlanta, Georgia. Adding to the sizzle of INDICA's SXSW 2K18 performance, he released a promotional song for the event with Tommy Boy Records called “Loco, Crazy.” Other smoking new music releases this year include “Ghost” (w/Grace Gunn) and “Clout” (w/Croosh, Locate Emilio).

INDICA is poised to be the industry’s next star rapper. So, you better believe the business savvy artist is covering all angles on his ascent. From new music, videos and shows to the development of signature INDICA gear (various styles of clothing and t-shirts) and other cool projects that demonstrate the INDICA vibe, while uplifting other artists, the rapper is solidifying his future.
