After years of playing and experimenting on the classical nylon string guitar, recently I've starting picking up the electric Fender Strat again! It's nice to get back to the Blues, using bends and riffs I first attempted as a teenager almost 30 years ago...

As I get older, I see time as being more precious and also whiz by so quickly! I dedicate this Urgency Blues to that feeling of wanting to get things done while you can! You can also click through on YouTube to a more humorous blues video I made where I lament the clocks going back (time theme again!)

In my solo guitar gigs I've sometimes come up with new ideas by accident! My "Flamenco Greensleeves" is a product of one of those moments... I was playing the traditional English tune and then thought, why not throw in some Spanish chords so the audience would wake up!

I'm excited about presenting this new album. It's the first time I've produced an album other than my own. The artist is called Rita Tam, and her music brings together elements of folk, blues, ballad... and of course I persuaded her to put in a bit of Spanish guitar too! I've enjoyed using my knowledge of different instruments and production techniques to make Rita's debut album. Click on the picture to listen.
