Hello Beautiful Soul!

Its been a hot minute since I popped into your inbox..but for a super good reason!

I've been fully hands-on in the paint working my way thru The 100 Day Project.

Never heard of The 100 Day Project? Let me fill you in.

For 100 days you create a piece of art. You can decide what type of project you want to do...anything goes. In the past, I have tried it...with lackluster results...but THIS year, I truly wanted to embrace it and make it to the end! And...I DID!!!

My goal with the project was simple...create a piece of art each day. I then gave myself some guidelines to follow...because having guidelines and parameters are always a good idea.

▪ Use three colors plus white (I added a bit of black towards the end.)
▪ Use a 18X24 piece of watercolor paper and divide it up into six pieces. (The first three palettes I didn't do this...but slowly figured out it would work better for me.)
▪ Treat each one of the rectangles as its own piece and stick to that color palette thru all six pieces, trying new mixes of color.
▪ Try and create new and interesting patterns.

For each palette, I also create an art journal spread to celebrate the beautiful mixes of colors that I was creating. One of my biggest goals as an artist has been to fill up an art journal!! (coming close!!)

Creating each and every day for 100 days was MAGICAL. It also helped me establish a routine. Working with the same colors, allowed for so much experimentation and I realized that creating my own colors is something that I cannot live without!

The color combinations I close were never predetermined. I just picked colors I was intuitively drawn to...and it ALWAYS worked out! (Another bit of magic there!)

With the #100dayproject comes a whole lot of artwork! I've decided to use the originals and create an inspiration book for future paintings. BUT, since many of you who follow me on social media expressed interest in purchasing the pieces, I have created a series of art prints and updated my shop!

There are currently 7 sets of prints, each set named after a magical flower. Each print group embodies the powers behind the flower, and will be blessed with Reiki energy before being on its way to you.

Creating these piece brought me to the heart of who I am as an artist. I am a colorful, whimsical, not-so-serious, playful girl who just likes to have fun and make people smile. I learned that the process of creating allows you to learn continuously...to open up new parts of your practice and let go of things that might be holding you back.

I hope that these prints make you smile!

The second batch should be coming to the shop soon...again, creating for 100 days creates a WHOLE lot of art! :)
