Happy End of Summer!

Is that really a happy time?

Well, since my kids are headed back to school and have a few hours of the day to myself (for the first time in almost 6 years!) I am pretty happy about it.

I doubt I'm the only one looking forward to sweater weather and PSLs!

What have I been doing these past few months?

Since I knew this was the last summer my youngest son would be home with me (he just started Kindergarten this week) I wanted to do as much "family" stuff as I could.

We traveled a bit, and spent some time re-discovering the bay area.

That included a few trips to the Oakland A's ballpark.

I actually wrote a post all about it. The A's games provide so much more fun than just the game itself. I've gathered up 10 of my favorite kid-friendly activities you should definitely check out if you have little ones!

I launched my own store!

Snarky crafter designs

Yep, this summer I spent a lot of time launching my very own online STORE! Focusing on cross stitch and a little crochet.

I have been super busy designing and fulfilling orders and it has been SO MUCH FUN!

Designing patterns is a lot of work and I've spent quite a bit of time studying other people's work to get inspiration and advice.

I shared a few of my favorite collections on the blog.. including one inspired by another summer obsession : The Handmaid's Tale.

OMG! LOVE THAT SHOW.. So good and horrifying at the same time!
