Our Field to Forest Tour with Permaculturist Aspen Madrone will introduce you to two stunning model organic farms nestled on either side of Armstrong Redwoods Park. This time of the year Sabor Mexicano Farm is bountiful with tomatoes, corn, tomatillos,, onions, garlic, berries and more, and there's always the goats and chickens. Across the road you'll tour beautiful Forest View Apple Ranch to taste and learn about its 20 varieties of Heritage apples. You'll end the day with a beautiful walk right from the property into Armstrong Redwoods Park!
This is one of the most beautiful corners of Sonoma County.

Our knowledgeable guide Aaron Lander will introduce you to our partner farmers and offer interesting facts about the sustainable history of the port, where Spanish explorers first landed 200 years ago. He’ll then lead you on a walk along the Bay, stopping to learn about the history of Levi's and the iconic Ghirardelli Square, one of the earliest examples of “adaptive reuse” projects in the country. Here Aaron will share information about his very own Pop-Upsters market with local makers!

The Convergence is a combined effort of the 2nd Annual North American Permaculture Convergence and the 11th Northern California Permaculture Convergence. It will bring together an estimated 1,000 permaculture designers, social and environmental justice activists, community organizers, educators, speakers, individuals and organizations from not only Northern California, but the greater United States, Canada, Mexico, countries from the Caribbean, Central America and beyond.
We’ll gather together for an inspirational five days of intensive focus with a common goal: to design, build, and strengthen regenerative communities and habitats, in accordance with nature, for humans, plants, animals, the greater bioregion, and the Earth at large.
