On Thursday Conservatives from across Canada will gather in Halifax to elect the next national council for the party and to make vote on what policies the party will adopt. If the Conservatives win the 2019 federal election, these policies could become a part of Canada's future.

Reports indicate that at least two of the policies will be dealing with the abortion issue.

Why should we care about a party's policies? Plainly put: because policies, if passed into laws, will affect people. Policies affect the poor, the elderly, single moms, immigrants, the working class...all of us in some way.

CALL TO PRAYER - AUG. 23 - 25

Though policy conventions are lower profile than federal elections, the power they have to influence the future of our nation cannot be underestimated. Because of this we are calling for 3 days of prayer while this convention is happening. Please join us in prayer and fasting August 23-25th for Canada.

Please keep the following items in prayer for the Convention:

▪	Pray for godly national councillors to be elected for the Conservative Party

▪	Pray for godly policies to be passed

▪	Pray for ungodly ones to be stopped

▪	Pray for heaven's hand to be heavily upon every aspect of the convention and for unity in the godly aspects of the movement

For the nation in general:

▪	Please pray for godly leaders to be elected to every level of governance in our nation

▪	Please pray for the church to be awake in this hour

▪	Please pray for a move of God in every national, provincial and municipal party

▪	Please pray for our leaders as they continue to navigate difficult issues such as immigration, trade, increasing crime etc.

Finally, please pray for the fires across Canada to be put out, for lives and for homes to be spared.

Thank you for your prayer for Canada. It makes a real difference.

The first ever Canada Summit for National Progress took place this past weekend. It was a time to hear experts share regarding some of our nations greatest challenges and to innovate for solutions.

Topics included in this year's summit included: indigenous youth suicide, abortion harassment, freedom of religion and conscience, the federal debt, sex curriculum and the environment.

The event surpassed our expectations and we are already looking forward to next year.
