This a very entertaining and appropriate topic for an October meeting. Dr. Berlin has assembled an extensive collection of mail and postal history items that have literally survived some of the world’s most Hellish events. From Floods, Blizzards, Famine, and other natural disasters to tragic accidents on the earth, in the air, and on the water and mail that survived acts of true evil. Dr. Berlin’s collection is so rare and so unique that we will have two independent presentations that still touch on only a fraction of his collection. Part one will cover natural disasters, war, politics, and very unusual interruptions including Ghosts the Devil and Terrorism.
Landon Spitzer will help his Grandfather share with us these remarkable stories and postal artifacts. Like all Study Group presentations, this program is free and open to anyone who wants to attend – so please forward this invite to any philatelic or non-philatelic participant who would like to attend.
Beware the power “The Devil’s Mail” has been known to create philatelic converts.
