Is Term Life Insurance the "cheapest"???

Should "cheap" be your goal???

Many people who contact me for a Life Insurance quote ask for Term. When I ask why they say because it is the cheapest.

While it may (or may not) be the best fit, depending on how you define "cheap" it is seldom the least costly.

Compare the options for the following scenario:

40yo Male, Excellent Health, non-Smoker
$500,000 Face Value

30 Year Term $629/year
Universal Life $1,992/year
Whole Life $5,690/year

Which policy is cheapest?

Which offers the best value?

Life Chart

As you can see above the numbers are not as cut and dry as some authors would have you believe.

There are many factors that go into an illustration and the numbers above are merely a scenario but...

Would you rather be out almost $19,000 at the end of the term and have NO Life Insurance left or have

Cash Value AND Coverage?

There are no right or wrong answers.

Many of my clients opt for a combination of term and permanent to get the coverage they need at a price that fits the budget.

The point is there are choices and what seems to be the least expensive may not be!

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
