Monday, June 20, is the deadline for our receiving your registration for the 2-week pre-program guideline that begins on June 27.

The goal of the pre-program is to prepare for the onsite sessions through aerobic training.

The onsite sessions begin Monday, July 11, in Peabody at the Bishop Fenwick fields.

The program is 3 mornings per week for 5 weeks.

4th of July 10K and 5K in North Andover

Race Results

At the Wallis Sands Half-Marathon in Rye (NH) on May 15, Don Chapelle won his age group in 1:29:21 (13th overall). Tina Dowling won her age group in 1:39:05, and Glenn Simm was 3rd in his in 1:40:42. Pam Lathrop ran an 8-minute PR (1:54:08). Mabelle Chua ran 1:55:09, and Carol Marshall 1:57:26.

Sarah Oliver won her age group, was 7th woman and 29th (of 127) finisher at the Triathlon by the Sea in Marblehead on May 15. It was the 1st triathlon for the Tufts-bound Marblehead senior. In the concluding 3.5 mile run she was 14th overall in 26:37.

Caitlyn Scola won her age group in 24:30 at the Rocky Neck 5K in Gloucester on May 15.

At the MSTCA Invitational in Acton-Boxboro on May 14, Abby Walsh ran 5:04 in the mile.

Emily Weigand ran a 4:48 1500M at the New Balance Twilight Series #1 in Waltham on May 14.

AJ Ernst ran a 1:50:94 800 at the Dogwood Track Classic at the University of Virginia on May 7. Amazing enough, AJ was 4th in this extraordinarily competitive high school meet. His time ranks him #10 in the US and it's the #9 all-time fastest in MA. At the same meet a team from Marblehead HS won the Distance Medley Relay in 10:29:87, which broke the school record and is #54 in the US. On that team, Oliver Jacob ran the 1200 and Adam Linsky the 800.

Shane Braz won the Northeastern Conference Frosh-Soph 2 miler in 10:22 on May 7 in Salem. Marc Alperen won the 800 in 2:09, and Billy Beauregard was 3rd in the mile in 4:56. Lilly Brennan was 2nd in the girls mile in 5:38.

Emily DeMarco ran 10:55 in the 2 miler at the Weston Twilight Invitational on May 7. Sydney Packard ran 2:20 in the 800, and Steph Casaletto 5:25 in the mile. Anthony Pizzo ran a 10:10 2 miler, Thomas Mackin a 10:11, and Reed Dolan 10:26.

Larissa Park was 1st woman (5th overall) in 29:41 at the Backshore 5 Miler in Gloucester on May 6. Katie Cooper was 2nd woman in 30:52. Tina Dowling was 1st master in 34:29, and Glenn Simm was 5th senior in 35:29. Linda Ford was 1st senior woman in 37:37.

Linsey Pimentel was 1st woman in 19:35 at the Step Up for Colleen 5K in Andover on May 1.

On April 30, Michele Gorham raced in the Open division at the Tri-State NJ Beast. With a start time of noon, she finished 6th out of 624 in the 35-39 age group, 50th out of 1442 females, and 437 out of 3181 finishers.
Spartan Racing 101 -- "the Spartan Beast is our most difficult of the three Spartan races. The Beast will test not only your endurance, perseverance and grit, but also your mind. The 12+ Mile Beast packs more than 30 Signature Spartan Obstacles."

At the hilly North Shore 10 Miler in Ipswich on April 24, Stan Peijffers was top vet (60+) in 1:10:52. Lauren Bonaccorso ran a steady 1:38:38.
