Half a year ago, the IPRC was in the very beginning phases of planning our relocation; half a year from now we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary.

As we continue to settle into our new location and dream up new outreach and program opportunities, we are also reflecting on the 20 years that have brought us to this point in time. Every box of zines, and case of donated lead type, every flat file and filing cabinet full of archived prints and documents— each physical object and piece of equipment is rich with stories from the past 20 years, and full of possibility for the next twenty.

In this newsletter, we're delighted to share a few photos from the Grand Reopening Celebration last month. Over 200 people came out to the party, pulled commemorative prints and heard rousing speeches from City Commissioner & IPRC Cofounder Chloe Eudaly as well as Interim Executive Director Brian Tibbetts. To those of you who have yet to visit the IPRC in its new location, we are incredibly excited to announce new member-specific programming. The Learn Make Share series arose out of our excitement around inviting new and existing members to come learn about the new studio.

With the relocation complete, and an Executive Director search underway, the IPRC is positioned to grow and expand (stay tuned for our much-anticipated risograph studio expansion slated for 2018!). If you are passionate about the IPRC's mission, and want to be a part of the next chapter of the IPRC, consider making a one-time donation or becoming a supporting member so that we can continue being the innovative community resource center that you know and love.

Read on to learn more about new member benefits and please come in, say hi and tour the new space if you haven't already!

Join Kate Lebo and Sam Ligon for a Wordstock 2017 Edition of Pie & Whiskey!* November 12, 11:00 a.m., in the IPRC Studios at 318 SE Main Street, a pie-eating, whiskey-drinking fundraiser for the IPRC, with readings by Robert Lashley, Kate Lebo, Dana Levin, Pippa Middleton, Ed Skoog, among others.

About the Event: Pie & Whiskey, organized by Sam Ligon and Kate Lebo, started in 2012 as a reading in Spokane, Washington. The idea was to serve good pie, good whiskey, and good writers reading prose or poetry about pie and whiskey. Five years, eight readings, 500 gallons of whiskey, and 30,000 square feet of pie later, Kate Lebo and Sam Ligon have created an anthology of the best pieces from our first half-decade, plus new work from some of our favorite writers today. Pie & Whiskey released by Sasquatch Books in October 2017 will be available for sale at the event.
