Gratitude is always present during this time of year: reflecting on the year's blessings, hearing from friends, spending time with loved ones, witnessing the shift from darkness to increasing light, welcoming a new year. You may have seen this short meditative video from Benedictine Brother David Steindl-Rast. I've seen it a few times and it never fails to remind me of the many blessings of being alive.
