Vet questions? Vetanswers!

Vet Nurse Day 2014

Dear Member,

Happy Vet Nurse Day!

To all the wonderful vet nurses out there - you do a fabulous job, in often difficult circumstances for not always a great deal of money. But your dedication to the welfare of all animals is what holds many veterinary practices together.

Basically... Vet nurses - you rock!

And I hope you all get some lovely treats today!

This week I'm officially introducing a new benefit for members with the awesome name: Vet question? Vetanswers (thanks for the name Lisa Blair!). It's the Vetanswers version of a member's forum and the aim is to share expertise & knowledge amongst our Community. If you have a question you'd like to ask, just send me an email.

Our first official question came via email during the week from a member who is an industry rep wanting some information to share with a number of the vet practices she visits - you can read more about it below.

Also this week I've put together another guide to what training, PD, etc. is on next week ('What's on next week') AND updated the Monthly PD calendar for October.

I've also found out about the FREE online conference for Vet Nurses from Vet Education and added some information on the 2014 Australasian Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Conference coming up at the beginning of November.

There are also links to some useful resources from dvm360 on written safety policies, injury incident reports, etc.

Lastly, there are are the usual links to resources I've come across during the week - scan through them & check out those that catch your eye (although I would definitely suggest reading 'The Holes in the Safety Net')

Our aim is to help you - save time, connect & discover.

Enjoy your reading :)

Judy
