Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week has been a grand one! God continues to bless us everyday with his mercy, new every morning. We are spoiled. He loves us so much. We have been having some roller coaster weather here in Northeast Ohio. Never a dull moment. Keeps us on our toes. Spring did come on the calendar and some flowers did start to come up – then snow last weekend. They are hardy so they will survive. Last fall we left some leaves in the flower beds, so they are surrounded by them. God is good." "That brings me to my Word for this week, “SURROUND OR SURROUNDED.” The ring tone on my phone is Eye of the Storm. The last time I heard it ring, it made me think about the eye. The eye of a storm is normally calm. It seems like so many of us are going through a storm of some kind. But even when there is a storm that may have us “surrounded,” we can have calm with God. He has us “surrounded.” The Holy Spirit is our comfort. My image this week is ALL of us “surrounded” by God’s precious hands. He is holding us. He loves us so much! He hears our prayers, our cries, our groans, and our praises! Let’s keep “surrounded” with the Holy Spirit. We will make it through any storm in our path. We are victorious, “surrounded” by God. No matter what our natural eyes may see, no matter how “surrounded” the storm may seem – the All-Mighty God “surrounds” us. He has all of us “surrounded” in the palm of His hands. Be encouraged – as we keep our eyes on Him! Have a super week!" "But you, God, shield me on all sides; You ground my feet, you lift my head high; With all my might I shout up to God, His answers thunder from the holy mountain." ~ Psalm 3:3-4 (MSG) | Easter Reflections Our Daily Bread's Easter Reflections devotional is available.
